About Julie

Meet Julie, MPT, BSc Kinesiology, Integrative Physical Therapist and Body Mechanic

I’m one of those “lucky people” who knew what they wanted to do from an early age. As a 5-year-old, I was giving shoulder and foot squeezes. I say squeezes because they weren’t really a massage at that point, but they still felt good. At age 15, I pursued a reflexology certification and completed the program within a year. (However, they couldn’t legally issue me my certificate until I turned 18, so I had to continue working as an apprentice.) In 1997, at age 18, I pursued massage therapy and, in 1999, became a Chiropractic Assistant. I got my undergrad degree in Kinesiological Sciences, specializing in biomechanics and neurological reprogramming, in 2001 and later added various other soft tissue and adjustment modalities, such as joint capsule work and scar tissue restoration. In 2010, I completed my MSc in Physiotherapy in the UK and, in 2011, my Thai medical massage and health treatment. I still continue to study to this day and am currently pursuing work with NLP. I believe life-long learning is important and the more I know, the better I can help my people.

Get back to your 16-year-old body again—where nothing hurt and everything worked.

“Julie is an amazing healer and she has created a safe space to do just that. Not only does she have an amazing knowledge of how the body works and is put together, she also understands how certain areas also seem to contain emotional damage. She has worked on me and helped me get through a few major things and has always cradled my head and said I was safe and I knew she was right. Her office is always clean and bright and welcoming and ready to facilitate the healing process.”
